Recorded Future Leads in Threat Intelligence
Recorded Future, a Mastercard company, has been recognised as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: External Threat Intelligence Service Providers, Q3 2026, highlighting its capabilities in AI-powered cyber intelligence, digital risk protection and proactive threat detection.
According to the company's announcement, Recorded Future received the highest possible score in 12 evaluation criteria, including deep and dark web monitoring, third-party and supply chain intelligence, and product roadmap. The company also reported above-average customer feedback.
As cyberattacks, financial fraud and supply chain vulnerabilities increasingly converge, enterprises require intelligence that identifies emerging risks before they escalate into security incidents.
Recorded Future addresses these challenges through its Intelligence Graph®, which contains more than 200 billion nodes of specialised threat data. The platform combines proprietary intelligence collection, AI-driven analytics and expert research from its Insikt Group to identify adversaries, malicious infrastructure and potential targets.
The company is also expanding its autonomous and agentic AI capabilities to accelerate threat investigations, automate intelligence workflows and support faster security decisions while maintaining human oversight.
Following its acquisition by Mastercard in 2024, Recorded Future is strengthening the convergence of cybersecurity, payment fraud intelligence and third-party risk management. Its collaboration with Mastercard's RiskRecon extends visibility into supplier vulnerabilities and interconnected business ecosystems.
Colin Mahony, CEO of Recorded Future, emphasised the importance of actionable intelligence in helping organisations identify threats early and protect critical operations.
The larger industry shift is from reactive cybersecurity to intelligence-led risk prevention. As AI-driven attacks become more sophisticated, enterprises increasingly need platforms that transform threat signals into contextual insights and coordinated defensive actions.
Serving more than 1,900 organisations across 80 countries, Recorded Future is positioning its platform to support the next generation of automated intelligence operations.
For Indian enterprises, particularly BFSI, government and critical infrastructure organisations, the development highlights the growing strategic importance of AI-powered threat intelligence in strengthening cyber resilience and digital trust.
