Josh Software announced its AI based voice banking solution to enable institutions accelerate their voice banking journey. Through this service, Josh will help banks integrate conversational banking into their existing digital ecosystem, enabling customers to interact with banking services through voice. The service also includes the handover of source code, allowing institutions to retain complete ownership of the resulting IP for further customisation and adaptation.
The service extends beyond integration to help banks make conversational banking accessible to a wider customer base. It combines intent identification with support for Indian regional languages, allowing customers to interact with banking services in their natural manner of speaking and preferred language. This enables banks to extend their existing digital offerings to customers across Tier II, Tier III and rural markets driving financial inclusion.
Gautam Rege, Co-Founder, Josh Software, said, “Banks and Financial Institutions today have access to several voice products and services, and many are exploring how to integrate them seamlessly into their existing digital infrastructure. From our experience working with these institutions, we understand the engineering effort involved in connecting these technologies with existing digital systems. We introduced this service to help accelerate this process.”
“By using open-source technologies, we also enable institutions to retain ownership of what is built, reduce vendor dependency and choose suitable technologies. Our focus is to provide the engineering support banks need to implement and accelerate voice banking while giving them the independence to customise as they evolve,” he added.
The service can be deployed within a bank’s environment, ensuring data privacy, protection and security remain within the institution’s ecosystem and in line with applicable regulatory requirements.
The announcement builds on Josh Software’s experience working with banks and financial institutions across core banking, lending, payments, investments and customer-facing applications. Through these engagements, the company has developed an understanding of the integration and modernisation challenges institutions face as they introduce new digital capabilities. Its voice banking service extends these capabilities by empowering institutions to scale their conversational banking offerings and simplify access for customers across India.
